As Australia’s leading cash in transit solution and provider of atmx by Armaguard ATMs, our team are delivering a deluge of support to flood affected areas.
Armaguard Group have been working relentlessly to ensure the safe and swift delivery of crucial cash and coin to South East Queensland and the New South Wales Northern Rivers regions hit hardest by recent catastrophic flooding.
With the forecast for wild weather to continue, towns and communities right along the east coast have been impacted, leaving areas from as far north as Bundaberg in Queensland to Canberra with little to no telecommunications, power or internet rendering countless business and residents unable to utilise cashless payments systems to buy or sell essential supplies such as fuel, food or water.
“Armaguard Group are proactively supporting the relief efforts to impacted communities throughout South-east Queensland and New South Wales. We have implemented our robust Business Continuity Plan in impacted areas, and we are working closely with our customers including major banks, fuel and retailers to support our communities” affirmed Mick Cronin, CEO Linfox Armaguard Group.
“Though many of our own team members have been personally impacted by the events of this natural disaster, everyone has consistently been going above and beyond to ensure our communities are supported”.
Last week, and right across the weekend, Armaguard worked tirelessly with local authorities to assure the safe transport of armoured crews and trucks from all our east coast branches to impacted regions and towns in Queensland and New South Wales.
The hardest hit areas including Byron, Ballina, Casino, Grafton and Gympie have continued to be serviced by our teams, delivering and replenishing necessary cash supplies to major bank branches and providing ongoing services to customers. Armaguard’s support is backed up by our extensive network of atmx by Armaguard ATMs located across flood affected states, which we are working hard to ensure are operational and available to provide ongoing secure access to emergency cash for residents cut off from larger towns and communities.
While the consequences of this ongoing weather event continue to felt today and well into the future by so many Australians, Armaguard Group is committed to doing everything it can to help support communities get back up on their feet and running as soon as possible.
